“The syllabus is so huge it’s impossible to complete in 3 months!”
No, it’s not huge at all.

It looks like that because the exam is of 900 marks.
​
In total there are only 240 questions - both papers combined.
​
The syllabus is actually the same as the NCERT Higher Secondary Syllabus for Maths.
​
And for General Aptitude, the syllabus is the same as that of Class 10.
​
Which means you have already gone through the entire syllabus before you appear for the exams
“But the Maths section will be as tough as all other competitive exams"
Not at all.

The math skills required for engineering, medical and other science based exams are totally different.
​
You don’t need to solve such high level questions in NDA.
​
A basic understanding of the subject is however necessary.

And that’s what they assess you on for Defence exams
“What if I did not take science in Class 12? Will I still be able to crack the NDA?"
Science stream is not required for admission into the Army wing
​
But for admission into the Air Force and the Navy, you must have passed 12th with Physics and Maths.
“What if I did not take arts in Class 12? Will I still be able to crack the NDA?”
There are actually a few questions related to social studies in the General Aptitude Paper.
​
But the syllabus for that is the NCERT Class 10th syllabus only.
​
So, even if you did not take arts in Class 12, you can still prepare for the NDA.
“What about the intense physical requirements for the Army, Air Force and Navy?”
Yes, there are some minimum physical requirements to get into any of the Defence wings.
​
In fact, the official NDA website has put up a list of all the physical eligibility criteria.
​
